I’m glad you have the intestinal fortitude to be able to discuss these horrifying episodes of our collective human folly without having to throw up or at least become justifiably (in my opinion) angry to the point of throwing caution to the wind and just denouncing the Zionist ideologies (that seem to underpin the entire Israel project) with verbally violent invective. I guess that’s why I support you. You’re doing something I could never do with the regularity and calm(ish) demeanor that you are able to muster. My hat is off to you, sir.
When you qualify your assertions and opinions I have to say that I indeed have to work along side many people that actually think in those sort of apologetic terms about the obvious war crimes that the Israeli’s are carrying out on the Palestinian people. They just refuse to see the obviousness of these crimes (war or not) and would rather go watch a channel such as “fakenukes” and happily believe that it’s all a hoax of rubber babies and fake blood. Of course, try to show them the fakeness of Sandy hook or the Boston Marathon bombing and they immediately become violent in their denunciation of anyone offering that kind of interpretation.
I think about what we have become as a civilization both on an individual and collective level and I find myself grappling with concepts about good and evil which I have no answer for. I mean; take an “o” out of good and you have god or add a “d” to evil and you have devil. Are we being played with in such an asinine way because we are that stupid, or is this lexicon deliberately set to wreck our minds by conjoining the sublime to the ridiculous? I just don’t know. What I do know is that people can be selfish to the point of total destruction of all that is worthwhile and necessary for a reasonable and compassionate society. You know, pride before the fall. Or worse, evil, because it appears sexy and powerful.
I don’t really know if I’m making a reasonable set of observations here but I at least know that my comments will actually be seen (by the hardy who venture this far down the page!) whereas on the major platforms it’s hard to know if you’re just tossing all into a huge hole of shadow ban or whatever they do to comments their algorithms flag up as “unfit”.
