The Rising Revolution: YouTube, Google And The Independent Media

The year of 2017 has been a year of transition; be it for better or for worse, few can deny that things are certainly changing around us at an unprecedented rate. The road of the independent researcher and journalist has been a long one, and one riddled with manufactured roadblocks and deceitful hindrance. Yet, the path of the dissenter, and its universal and timeless call to see past the surreptitious division of the State, and find commonality and unity within one another, is now more clearly defined than ever as an invaluable and integral part of the coming revolution — as has always been the case when confronted by rising tyranny.

However, despite the ever-growing police state and never-ending US interventionism across the globe, this year should be acknowledged with a large degree of positivity, and looked back on in a light of overall success; or at the very least, some hopeful expectations for the future and what we, as the collective people of this nation, of the world, could accomplish should we reach out and grasp what has always seemed just beyond our reach. The only thing standing in our way, is the division taking place among us, even within the independent community. Regardless, it should be clear that more have been awaked to the true nature of government, and the rising tide of technocracy and global control that is creeping ever closer to our daily lives, and in many cases, has already slipped in under the guise of protection and security.

It is arguable whether some of these new entities in the alt media world are awakening more to the reality of the current hierarchical structure, and its inherent nature of oppression and control, or if they are simply a new wave of social engineering that arose out of the State’s recognition of our recent success. The latter is no doubt an effort fully underway, the question is to what degree? If one is pulled from the coercive and manipulative grasp of the mainstream media cycle, that is clearly a positive step. Yet, if they take that first step only to find themselves immersed in a new cycle, one wrought with the same divisive manipulation but dressed up to seem new, excited and down-right revolutionary, they may find themselves falling back into the same hamster-wheel of self-reinforcing information, and its comforting suffocation.

This is why all who pride themselves on being “in the know” and able to see past the MSM façade, should also pride themselves on being able to truly entertain another’s perspective, as outlandish or opposing as it may be, as well as being able to take in a wide array of different sources and coming to one’s own conclusion, even if that conclusion is not one supported by the majority group-think, alternative or otherwise.

In this coming year of 2018, the people of this nation must begin to hold themselves, and their respective trusted sources, to a much higher standard, one contingent on the facts, and no longer the speculation of what we all hope will come to pass. As far too many are recognizing an opportunity — be it a financial one, or one driven by the State — in telling the people what they want to hear. The truth is, anyone genuine in their intent to see actual positive changes, are in general agreement of wanting to see a particular elite circle held accountable for its crimes, as well as any attempting to hijack the will of the people to benefit themselves and their sinister ambitions. Yet, to not do one’s due diligence by questioning the motivation behind anyone claiming to have “the answer” is a very dangerous game to play, one that may lead those who choose to follow right back into the same drawn out, never-ending string of hopeful two-party politics.

Let us strive to make this new year one of unity amongst those seeking a change to the current oppressive system, and one of open-minded discussion and debate. We must be able to see past the petty attempt to divide us from within, and see the true power that we hold, should we truly stand together. This coming year, is the year of revolution.

  1. That revolution, out of necessity, will not be non-violent, as tyrants and bullies will not stop being tyrants and bullies on their own. Talk will not deter them. Only a fool believes that talk will change the nightmare that is, or prevent the hell that is coming.

      1. That’s not to say we should stop, or even let up, spreading the truth about our dire situation. At the very least people cannot later complain that they didn’t know….

  2. The very words: “Your comment is awaiting moderation” tells me that even this site, however liberty minded it may claim to be, does not adhere completely to the Principles of Freedom. Any possibility of censorship casts doubts on the sincerity of those who say they support and advocate for freedom. No excuses.

    1. Well that is very easy for one to say who does not deal with the wildly obscene, or the spam ridden comments that flood in all day everyday. We want a free-flowing conversation, criticism and all, but if for every one genuine comment that comes in, we get 15 spam-linked unrelated comments, that will hurt the free flow of info. But your comment tells me you do not understand the ins and outs of running a website in today’s market. But thank you for your idealistic perspective, I do appreciate and understand your point.
