“The statesmen will invent cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is attacked, and every man will be glad of those conscience-soothing falsities, and will diligently study them, and refuse to examine any refutations of them; and thus he will by and by convince himself that the war is just, and will thank God for the better sleep he enjoys after this process of grotesque self-deception.” – Mark Twain, “The Mysterious Stranger” (1910)
Historically, the term “false flag” has its origins in naval warfare when a ship would fly a flag other than their own prior to an attack, or other engaging action, with the intention of manipulating the perception of the attack for a specific purpose. A trick designed to deceive the enemy about the true nature and origin of the attack.
The concept of a false flag is one that has become somewhat of a defining term for modern America. There are those who have done their due diligence, have done the research, and are aware of this nation’s dark history with false flags, as well as the rest of the world. Human history as a whole is littered with examples of these false flag events. And then there are those who willfully choose to deny the documented history; they plug their ears and stomp their feet in hopes that the reality will… I don’t know, pass them by. Finally there are those caught in the middle of this information war, not awake enough to fully acknowledge the inconsistencies in the news and the doublespeak spewing from their politician’s mouths, but asleep enough to settle on the comforting conclusion that, “my government would never allow something like this.” On either side there are those actively fighting for the minds of every American; battling for their perception.
One might ask why such an action would ever take place. The motivation is endless for those hungering for power and striving for global control, two traits that define the modern statesmen. Both power and control are steadfastly rooted in the perception of those they strive to rule. And make no mistake, ruling you is their primary objective, and the way you perceive the world and our nation’s interaction with it, is their foremost concern, as those in positions of power know the one truth that they will go to extreme measures to keep the people from remembering: when united, the true power rests with the people.
