Despite the Obama administration clearly attempting to create something where nothing exists, Putin, taking the high road, has stated that he will not partake in what he called ‘kitchen’ diplomacy, and instead will plan their next steps based on the policy of the incoming Trump administration. In the face of Obama’s unjustified expulsion of Russian diplomats based on zero evidence, Putin has confirmed that he will not be expelling any US diplomats, promising American diplomats in Russia would encounter no restrictions of movement or business. He has also chosen to extended a personal invitation to the children and families of those foreign dignitaries to spend the New Year holiday celebrating around the Christmas tree at the Kremlin.
Historically, the Russian mentality has always centered around shows of power and retaliatory measures as a matter of course. Yet, what is being seen today is not only uncharacteristic of a Russian President, but starkly shows who the instigator of the situation truly is. It may be hard for some to digest, but in the world’s eyes, the US is currently the problem; not the people of the US, but those who have usurped control from the people. That distinction must be addressed when the all too expected “un-American” finger is being pointed at those choosing to voice their opinions; that accusation that gets thrown out in modern America when one chooses to act on the most cherished cornerstone of the American foundation: the right to question one’s government.
It is clear that Putin sees through this obvious ploy to incite some sort of conflict prior to Obama leaving office. From the clear false flag in Turkey, to the baseless uprooting of Russian dignitaries during the holidays, Putin had every reason to retaliate, yet instead chose to do what is best for both his people and the world, something the powers-that-shouldn’t-be in the US clearly disregard.
It was quite obvious that the US had its entire media machine on stand by to report on any action Russia chose to take in response to this provocation, yet when Putin chose to call out their manipulation instead of playing into it, the truth failed to achieve their goals, so the corporate media did what it has always done, it created the story to suit the narrative.
CNN has cited a yet another ‘unnamed anonymous official’ claiming that Moscow has already shut down an Anglo-American school, specifically for kids of diplomats, in retaliation to the US sanctions. It will likely come as no surprise to any actually paying attention that this is completely false. The Obama administration did not expect the Russian President to take a reasonable and measured course of action in the face of such an affront; and with no Russian response, the US deceptive plan was laid bare. The only route left was to create a story that gives the appearance of retaliation, or the beginnings of such an action, in hopes that it would be enough to convince the pliable public that this was anything other that a US initiated attack on the Russian people, with still as of yet zero actual evidence to support such an extreme step.
According to Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova, the Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation,
“U.S. officials ‘anonymously informed’ their media that Russia closed the Anglo-American School in Moscow as a retaliatory measure. That’s a lie. Apparently, the White House has completely lost its senses and began inventing sanctions against its own children.”
“You should not write that ‘Moscow denied…. Or Moscow will not…”. Write as it is: “The CNN TV channel and other Western media have again spread false information citing official American sources.”
“It’s a pity that the current U.S. administration is finishing their work in such a manner.” – Vladimir Putin
