Welcome to The Daily Wrap Up, a concise show dedicated to bringing you the most relevant independent news, as we see it, from the last 24 hours (2/22/19).
What’s happening in Venezuela right now needs to be our first and foremost concern. This effort is being carried out without American support, without Venezuelan support, and it’s being done in the name of every American, with American tax dollars. All this despite a clear history of for-profit and illegal regime change operations that left the victim nation in utter ruin and its civilians, after promises of freedom and democracy, at the mercy of US-backed extremists, such as with Libya today. Remember that the very men verifiably involved with all these catastrophic coups of the past, are currently back at it again within the Trump administration.
Bolton and Abrams were signatories for PNAC, both were involved in disastrous covert operations in Iraq, Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela, and many more. Abrams, the man said to be put in place to “restore democracy in Venezuela” by Mike Pompeo, is the very man who went to prison as a convicted war criminal for lying to Congress about the Iran-Contra scandal, and he admitted to shipping weapons to these rebels under cover of humanitarian aid shipments. Bolton was involved with the Iraq war, that killed over 500,000 children, and he still says on record that it was a resounding success. Bolton was also involved in hobbling both the scope of the Iran-Contra investigation and an inquiry into drug- and gun-running militants, who were enabled by their illicit regime change operations.
And we are supposed to think that what is taking place in Venezuela now, with the same men involved, is in the best interest of Venezuela? Despite history showing very clearly what the future holds for those “liberated” by the likes of Bolton and Abrams? Even as they are currently profiting from Venezuela’s stolen oil? Even while they are currently intensifying the issues on the ground? Even the UN’s own expert, came back and was explicit in saying that what is happening in Venezuela and what the western media is telling people, could not be farther from the truth. He said there is not a humanitarian crisis, ask yourself why you never heard this from mainstream media?
Time to do your due diligence, and ask yourself the hard question: Are they lying to me now, just as these very men involved today have done so, so many times in the past?
