First Day On The Job: Trump’s UN Ambassador Condemns Russia

Editor’s Note: So much for Trump as “puppet of Putin”… it’s all a smokescreen to cover the true agenda — World War III, starring Iran, Russia, and China.

On Thursday Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations used her inaugural statement to condemn what she described as Russian aggression in Ukraine.

During her confirmation hearing last month, Nikki Haley accused Russia of committing war crimes in Syria and said she favors a continuation of sanctions.

“United States continues to condemn and call for an immediate end to the Russian occupation of Crimea. Crimea is a part of Ukraine. Our Crimea-related sanctions will remain in place until Russia returns control over the peninsula to Ukraine,” Haley said.

On March 6, 2014 a referendum was held in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. 95.5% of voters supported joining Russia. Following the vote, Russia officially recognized Crimea. The EU and the United States condemned the vote as illegal.

Despite Trump’s campaign trail insistence he would thaw relations between Russia and the United States, after he assumed office he did not take action to end sanctions imposed on Russia.

Additionally, he has not indicated if he will continue sending troops into the Baltics or reconsider the deployment of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System in Poland.

In 2009, the US said it would discontinue the project. Republicans protested the decision and Senator John McCain said it was “seriously misguided.”
