Schismogenesis. Described by Gregory Bateson, anthropologist and one of Margaret Mead’s husbands. Bateson described how cultures are split apart. He was not really proposing that Schismogenesis as a divisive tactic in his research, but it is relatively easy to implement and is happening today.
I dont know if things have changed since we had an infant, but then, after we went in for the second well visit, the doc told us since we were “delaying” we didn’t need to come in every three months because the only purpose was to get shots and boosters, that is what a “well visit” was when he had a baby. So if you aren’t getting shots, you wouldn’t be going to the well visit.
Anecdotal here, but can confirm that illness has been way down comparitively to peers and we never have to go to the doctor. Maybe once every 3 or 4 years.
The kid just doesn’t get sick like that. Doesnt mean he won’t at some point, but sick enough to see the doctor? Doesnt happen.
