Welcome to The Daily Wrap Up, a concise show dedicated to bringing you the most relevant independent news, as we see it, from the last 24 hours (12/17/18).
I truly believe that what we are seeing take place in Yemen is at this moment the most important thing happening in the world, even in regard to Americans themselves, as this is literally writing our legacy in history as a nation of tyrants. I believe when history looks back at this time, it will unequivocally be remembered as the most damning and simultaneously the most ignored important event in American history, because of what it makes us out to be, collectively, as Americans, in the eyes of those looking back. This is what we will be remembered for, you and I, even those trying to stop it.
Many have been confused by this whole story involving the Farm Bill, and Senate Resolution 54, and understandably so. That might have even been intentional — with the Manage Our Wolves Act from the Senate, and then the Farm Bill, with the secret last minute addition of a resolute that stop any debate on Yemen and use of the War powers act, which in turn kills Res 54 before it even went to the House.
But Ron Paul’s recent article did a great job making it simple:
The Senate vote on Res 54 was a great thing (loop holes and omissions aside) yet unfortunately, members of the House will not be allowed to vote on their own version of the Senate resolution.
Republican Leadership (with support of many Democrats) snuck language into a rule vote on the Farm Bill prohibiting any debate on the Yemen war for the rest of this Congressional session. As Rep. Thomas Massie correctly pointed out, the move was both unconstitutional and illegal.
As always, take the information discussed in the video below and research it for yourself, and come to your own conclusions. Anyone telling you what the truth is, or claiming they have the answer, is likely leading you astray, for one reason or another. Stay Vigilant.
