The American Hacktivism movement recently received another blow to its credibility with a recent interview by CNN of the face of the movement itself, Anonymous. In addition, this interview was posted on Anonymous Headquarters online, an official sponsorship from the hacker group. To some, this may come across like a breakthrough in the Truth Movement—finally, a movement of the people is getting mainstream attention! But this is an inherent fallacy, and the only piece of information that attention need be drawn to is the dollar sign that backs CNN. Simply speaking, Mainstream Media is not of the people, it is of the American Plutocracy and the fact that Anonymous has shaken hands with this devil is enough to sell its soul. After all, it was only a matter of time before the Big Brother Surveillance State, via the CIA, infiltrated a movement that “has no leader” or “source of command” and operates “anonymously; without any identity.” It should be asked: how easy does one have to make it for government agents to compromise their organization?
This is not to say that Anonymous began as a government operation, or that everyone under the face of Guy Fawkes is a government operative, but when the anti-corporate, anarchistic underground hacktivism movement starts selling t-shirts on their website, this alone raises an eyebrow. This isn’t Natural News or InfoWars being discussed here—this is the heart of the underground revolution of postmodern culture. Why did they start a shopping market on their website? On top of this interview with CNN is the fact that Anonymous has recently only helped divert Americans away from the real source of Islamic terrorism: NATO dollars. With their “Operation Paris,” and “Operation ISIS,” Guy Fawkes has done a great job getting people riled up about Islamic terrorism and the threat it poses to America; meanwhile, America orders Turkey (the people who buy the oil from ISIS) to shoot down a Russian warplane, while Russia actively discusses the NATO funds poured into Islamic terrorism and continues to be the only country that is actually trying to end the Islamic terrorist threat. Why, exactly, isn’t Anonymous discussing all of this? Instead, they’re picking a catfight over social media with “terrorist presence” and release a list of potential terrorist-attack locations to IB Times. It looks like these hacktivists have been feasting on red-herring.
However, in further discussion of this CIA-infused interview between Anonymous and CNN, there are only sensible things to be said—things that this article could certainly agree with. The point here is not to slander what Anonymous stands for, or any previous good the movement has done, but it is important to remember that there will never be a savior for the sovereign people, but the people themselves. More than likely, there won’t be any extraterrestrials, gods, or even comic book characters like V/Guy Fawkes who will ever be able to provide a divine intervention to the current global problems. One of the ultimate lessons of living life seems to be accountability, and sooner or later, every person will be held accountable for their decisions, one way or another. These decisions made, accumulating to this accountability in every single person, will dictate and determine the current sociopolitical state at any given time.
There is no fault in anyone for supporting Anonymous—it’s an enticing thing truly—but with America’s natural capacity to look to other things for personal guidance (religion, Hollywood, Big Pharma, et cetera) it certainly is not surprising that this was a movement that was attractive to the Surveillance State. Bear in mind that these things tend to happen sometimes—Timothy Leary was good friends with Allen Dulles, former director of the CIA, and probably was an agent himself. Glenn Greenwald (journalist of the Snowden Files) is now funded by Pierre Omidyar, owner of eBay and PayPal, who sits in the back-pocket of the NSA. Still, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Regarding social engineering, the present moment is always the best time to think for oneself and question authority.
