U.S. soldiers were previously deployed to Syria under the Obama administration, yet now, the U.S. government has just sent an additional 400 troops, (directly followed by another 1000) to Syrian territory without congressional approval, without approval from the Syrian government, and without approval from the U.N.
Trump’s supporters no doubt argue this is to fulfill his promise to defeat ISIS, despite his promise to focus less on wars abroad, and to bring our troops home with an “America First” non-interventionist policy. However, what would be obvious, if mainstream media was actually trying to inform, as opposed to obfuscate, is that ISIS in Syria has been more or less defeated, as a result of a lack of US involvement, which should tell us something.
Is this trump just fulfilling his promise to defeat ISIS or is that just cover for the continuation of the globalist foreign policy?
Americans have accepted many illegal and morally devoid actions of the US government; things they have become accustomed to, yet are clearly wrong, and overtly unconstitutional. Such as:

It all comes back to this ability of ours, to just forgo the facts in favor of a truth that is more suitable to one’s current desires and ambition–MSM and the State are both responsible for and guilty of this.
For instance, Lawrence O’Donnell from MSNBC actually had the gall to openly say that “Lies can be an impeachable offense,” and that because Trump is a “pathological lair” that Pence could then use the 25th amendment to remove him from office, because he is lying. Really? Can this man genuinely sit there and tell the American people–especially with all that has been revealed in recent years–that past presidents have not lied? Or even lied less in their entire presidency than Trump has managed to lie in a matter of months? That is just childish. Now to be clear … Yes, Trump has clearly lied, and yes, many of them are infuriating and to many, reveal his true colors, but that does not justify such an obvious fabrication simply to see Trump replaced, even if that is seen as striving for that long sought after, and rarely reached, “greater good.”
We have all seen the over-the-top protests, marches and violent acts of disobedience, all in the name of “resisting Trump.” Yet, despite their being over 750,000 protestors at the last march in LA, all centered around taking action to stop the trump presidency, few could be bothered to take the “action” they so fervently claimed was needed such a short time ago.
In the recent LA vote at the city level, where on the ballot were almost half the city council member seats, the office of their mayor, measures on housing and taxes, as well as measures to help the homeless; all important issues. Yet, the “resistance” could not be bothered to actually come out and take action, with only 11.45% coming out to vote, which was a record low in LA, as 18% was the previous low.
This shows two very clear facts: One: Most of those involved in these demonstrations were paid to be there, hence, no actual action when it counts. Two: For most of the stars, media and activist groups, this was about attention and self-promotion, and now that there are no cameras, there is no “action.”
So after all the self-righteous diatribes and calls to “take action” and “resist,” when it came time to actually resist, by taking that action, and embracing the democratic process they so blindly praise, these individuals could not be bothered to follow through with all their high-minded talk about taking action, and taking a stance on morality and integrity.
Readers of The Last American Vagabond know we do not advocate for voting in this broken system. However, this group was built around the idea that Trump was “ruining our democracy,” yet failed to come out and actually take part in the system they so passionately pretend to care about. As always necessary in today’s hyper-polarized political debate, to be clear, both sides are just as bad, this just happens to be a good example on the Left, likely to push us further in defense of the Right and Trump.
One obvious way in which trump differs as a President (among many) is that he is not trying to hide the choice that has been presented to the people for decades: Liberty or Security? Only Trump lays the choice plain on the table for all to see. There is an entire generation that has been conditioned to not only see this choice as a noble one, but that by choosing Security, they are in fact EXTRA American. This generation has been a specific educational focus for the deep state, in order to orchestrate just such a perception shift that only serves to increase American’s tacit acceptance of the increasingly bloated budget of the Military Industrial Complex.
Security or Liberty? Which would you choose? Why do we feel a choice is necessary?
Welcome to another episode of TLAV Political Roundtable where we break down the week of American politics, and discuss the implication on American life, and the world. Joining us this week is special guest Derrick Broze of The Conscious Resistance Network. In this week’s episode we discuss the many areas of American policy that are blatantly unconstitutional and internationally illegal, yet we have grown accustomed to them out of sheer repetition, the CIA/deep state perpetual wars of violence, and the “security over liberty” justification.
