The Conspiracy Of “Conspiracy Theories”

“Let me tell you why you are here. You have come because you know something. What you know you can’t explain but you feel it. You’ve felt it your whole life. Felt that something is wrong with the world.” – Morpheus (The Matrix)

Just mentioning the word conspiracy is playing with fire, as it has become an extremely loaded term in today’s world, almost too taboo to mention outside of the confines of one’s own home. In fact, it can almost be considered social suicide in many circles. Many today adopt the “mainstream” view in regards to conspiracy theorists: that they are “crazy loons in tin foil hats sitting down in their basements hitting the bong one too many times as they piece together elaborate theories that are based solely in their drug induced paranoia.” Then there is the “Alternative Media,” which has sprouted up over the years — thanks in large part to the Internet — gaining in popularity as it combats the over monopolized mainstream media.

On one end, there’s the “Mainstream-Alternative Media” who are somewhat open to the idea of conspiracy theories, where as they embrace some aspects of certain theories, such as the JFK assassination, 9/11, or The Federal Reserve, but there is often a certain point at which they are unwilling to consider and talk further. On the other end of the spectrum there is the “Alternative-Alternative Media,” which consists of the very few who have no boundaries and will venture all the way down the rabbit hole regardless of how weird and dark it gets. Some have gained great insight from this, while others have succumbed to the massive depths of conjecture and half-truth within the recesses of society, and never really come back to put information into the proper context.

So what is a “conspiracy theory?” Wikipedia lists the definition as:

“An explanatory hypothesis that accuses two or more persons, a group, or an organization of having caused or covered up, through secret planning and deliberate action.”

As it pertains to this article, a conspiracy theory is a theory about an event, or series of events, in which the plot of the event(s) is thought to be different then the storyline that is widely recognized and accepted by the mainstream consensus, all of which is simultaneously echoed throughout the government, the media, and the majority of the population. In the simplest terms, conspiracy theories are alternative theories, usually involving more than one person, that differently explain events in history.

Often times, conspiracy theories bring to light new layers of the event’s plot that were either ignored, put in the wrong context, or even denied of existence by mainstream media. In a way, conspiracy theories are one of the few outlets left for people to openly propose new ideas/theories to a community that might challenge the current understandings of reality even if they might seem off-the-wall to some. Some conspiracy theories can be very polarizing and difficult to take in because all too often they are clouded in secrecy, which involve major events, powerful people, and quite possibly span the entire world over several generations. It’s as if the mainstream is “in the box” with clear boundaries, the mainstream-alternative media is on the edge of the box where it’s still somewhat attached to the box but can see out. Then there is the infinite space of all possibility to explore “outside the box.”

In the end, this is all just information, and what one chooses to make of this information is entirely up to each individual. What is deemed a “conspiracy theory” is totally subjective and differs from group to group, and person to person. Information that one person might interpret as an outlandish conspiracy theory, might be the shining light of truth to another. It really covers a wide range of information and ideas that all depend upon one’s perception of it. The problem is that much of the information outside the box is so taboo in today’s society that most won’t even venture there, let alone consider it without bias. Their mind is closed off before there is even a chance to look at the information and make a judgment. Though this seems rather ironic, considering how cleverly deceptive the mainstream media is known to be today.

First, it’s widely acknowledged at this point that all governments lie, and the U.S. especially is no exception to this rule. There are TONS of documents and evidence that proves the government and corporations have lied to the public MANY times, regularly shaping the very fabric of society to their own desire with little repercussions. This notion, that America is this shining beacon of freedom and democracy to spread all over the world, is clearly all an illusion purposely designed to maintain our obedience and cooperation. This is easy to get away with when the mainstream media has morphed into an entertainment business, predominantly owned by 6 corporations that are way too intertwined with government and big business to allow any real investigative journalists to get in the way of maximizing profits by waking people up. Pathetically, most of mainstream media doesn’t even bother to carry investigative journalists on the payroll anymore, as ruffling feathers is bad for profits. It’s just one big revolving door between big corporations, banking, government, NGO’s, and media. In the end, they all represent the same interests, as they are basically a one party entity designed to accumulate power and profit.

To break the camels back, the government is classifying enormously high amounts of documents; and those actually brave enough to stand up and expose the truth, are under increasing threat of being heavily prosecuted. Under the Obama administration, the Espionage Act has been implemented against whistleblowers seven times by the Justice Department compared to just three times in all the prior administrations combined. This includes people such as Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning who exposed flagrant government corruption in which the public needed to be aware of, only to turn around and face serious criminal prosecution for their decisions in virtually unfair, secret trials.

This is even more concerning now that the people’s two biggest tools, the Internet and it’s academic institutions, are also coming under siege by this same entity. Academia, a historical embodiment of open information, limited bias, and freedom of thought, is quickly accelerating towards business-style management, as its profit-driven acceptance of outside funding in exchange for academic oversight of course material taught is becoming far to commonplace. Then there is the Internet, maybe societies greatest weapon of mass awareness and where most of the world’s information is shared and spread, is highly coveted by corporations for profit and government for control, as legislation to regulate the Internet is constantly being re-named and rebranded until some form of it passes. Even Google, with close ties to the U.S. government according to Julian Assange and Luke Rudkowski, is in on the clamp down, as they recently claim to be able to filter search results based on “how truthful” the page is; a very scary proposition for any alternative media outlets.

Although poorly covered and often ignored by the mainstream media, all of this information is easily accessible in the public domain. The question is, “If all of this knowledge is present, then why would anyone continue to believe the very same people who deceive us in the mainstream media when they claim conspiracy theories are “loony” and “out of touch with reality?” Do they really deserve any credibility or consent from the people anymore? Have they not lost the privilege to foster our perceptions of information?

It’s finally time to wake up, break the chain, and lift the curtain from this taboo subject termed “conspiracy theory,” so it can be freely explored by all, with an open mind and limited judgment. It is very much like going into a new experience; if you go in with a closed mind and rigid expectations/beliefs then you will gain nothing new from the experience. However, if the intention is truth and the mind is open, all information and experience, whether controversial or not, can be processed and learned from.

Growth in one’s consciousness is directly related to learning from new experiences and information. Obviously, one does not accept all conspiracy theories out there to be true, very much in the same way that one does not accept all the mainstream media propaganda to be true either. You will never know where the truth lies until the mind is open enough to take in all the available information and sort through it without bias. Closing one’s mind off to information that one doesn’t want to hear or that is “too controversial,” is only holding people back from forming a larger perspective and context to reality. In fact, if people were never curious enough to venture “outside the box” and question “the truth,” then many realities of historical events realized today, wouldn’t be known at all. Indeed, many understandings that we have today were once fringe conspiracy theories ridiculed by the masses until more digging and further information surfaced, exposing the truth.

An easy example of this is the Iraq War, in which the U.S. government justified the invasion of Iraq on claims Saddam Hussein possessed “weapons of mass destruction” even though Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. This was passed down through the government and echoed all throughout the mainstream media, as the narrative was blindly believed to be true by almost all. If one had suggested at the time that “this was all just a propaganda smokescreen fueled by the government to drum up enough fear to justify a war on terror for profit throughout the Middle East” like is widely known today, you would have been considered crazy and highly unpatriotic by the majority of the population.

An even more recent example is the creation and rise of ISIS. Mainstream media continues to perpetuate the story that ISIS is this rogue terrorist organization that aims to destroy America because it ‘hates our freedom‘ and impose sharia law all over the world. If one was to suggest, even today, but especially a year ago, that ISIS was funded, trained, and supplied by the United States and its Gulf allies in order to use as an opposition group to topple Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian regime, one would have been ridiculed and written off as a “conspiracy theorist.” Nevertheless, this is precisely what happened, yet few know and understand it in the public.

Two obvious examples from a long list of conspiracies turned truths, such as the false flag operation in The Gulf of Tonkin propelling the U.S. into the Vietnam war, or the CIA smuggling cocaine into the United States for profits, or even that a Memphis jury found the U.S. government guilty of assassinating Martin Luther King.

Now many people will say “Well those are not really conspiracy theories and there are many others that are just off the wall crazy.” Well, these all definitely were conspiracies theories at one point in time, and while they might not be as elaborate, and have more verifiable information then some others, they still paint a very different picture then what was being pushed by public officials, law enforcement and mainstream media. The reality is, that even theories lacking definitive proof or requiring more investigation, still have value. All information is part of a much larger equation used to define reality. And while the exact details of every event in history might not be known, conspiracy theories can be tools used to pose important fringe questions to society about obvious loopholes in the plots of serious historical events that need to be further addressed and ultimately answered. If mainstream media won’t do it, then it’s up to the people to continue to independently investigate until all questions are adequately answered.

Take for example, the popular conspiracy theory of the New World Order, which suggests that there is a small group of elite leaders from all over the world that hold many of the most powerful positions in banking, finance, various corporations, government, and media, all united around the desire to impose a one-world government in which they are ultimately in control of, and heavily profit from. There are many important questions derived from this theory that need to be asked and further looked into.

First, why are there so many secret society’s out there such as the Skull and Bones, Bohemian Grove, and the Bilderberg Group to name a few, that consist of very powerful people — even U.S. presidents — who meet and function in secret, discussing major global issues with virtually no media attention. This could be considered illegal under the Logan Act, and often times those involved will deny their group’s existence and even run away when confronted about the subject by an independent reporter brave enough to ask the right questions. As the government always says, “If you have nothing to hide, then what’s the big deal?”

Second, why is it that many of these elite families, such as Rockefeller, Rothschild and Bush to name a few, are not only long-standing members of these secret societies, but also heavy players behind the scenes influencing the demand for global free trade agreements, international central banks with world currencies, and further power centralization? The answer to that question becomes painstakingly clear when one takes note of how these families have extended their sphere of influence over a large majority of the vital institutions in society, such as banks, NGO’s, corporations covering all sectors, and of course politics. It seems rather naïve to think that all these “coincidences” and obvious collusion add up to nothing when the wealth gap is expanding, freedoms are being stripped away, and information is being censored right in front of our eyes.

There are many more details and conspiracies out there to investigate, but the take-away point is that much of the information known as “conspiracy theory” simply cannot be ignored and tossed aside anymore as having no value. That is by no means to suggest that we simply believe everything out there, yet many of these theories were developed for a reason and stem from genuine information that is systematically being kept from public view — just as we have seen with far too many “theories,” deemed “crazy” by the mainstream, that we now see were true all along. If it’s deliberately being hidden and written off by the very same people who were verifiably responsible for the many lies of the past, then chances are that is were you should be looking.

“When mainstream media is silent on a topic, it’s a good bet that’s where the real news is happening.” ~Ryan Cristián.

Information. That’s all a conspiracy theory truly is; information that does not conform to the mainstream group-think. And it’s our duty as citizens of the world to realize that the box is not real, but instead free and open to explore all forms of information, no matter what we prefer to believe. This is by no means easy, as there’s tons of disinformation out there, along with massive resistance by, not only the elite profit-driven entities, but our peers, who often blindly criticize because they are unwilling to fathom such large magnitude events, such as the CIA plot to assassination JFK or a false flag attack orchestrated by our own government to take the country to war. No one wants to believe these things, but it is not up to us to decide what we want and don’t want the truth to be. The truth just is. And often times, like democracy, it’s a never-ending process that gets messy, potentially contradicting everything you once thought to be true. Not having concrete answers in life can be uncomfortable, however common. Yet, like any other skill, developing one’s third eye takes time. Nonetheless, knowledge is power, and through exposure to knowledge one can find truth. Only then, through truth, can one finally be unchained and set free out into this mysterious consciousness we call life.

“After this, there is no going back. You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. Remember that all I am offering is the truth. Nothing more. “

  1. Excellent article my friend. How do you afford travel? I’m just wondering because I would like to as well, but I’m still working on getting a freelancing career in order before I go. Anyways, good on you for attempting to help wake the masses.

  2. This is a very well written, valuable article placing the issue of “conspiracy theorists” in a concise light – at least for those already somewhat awake – and hopefully for those not so much. Of course, due to, known by the more awakened, and mentioned therein;”conditioning,” few among the not so awake are likely to read it all, much less grasp what is of immense value to each individual, there. Yet, it serves well in providing concise ammunition to shoot at the still asleep ones in smaller bursts they might be able to process. So, others of varying communication skills and talents are symbiotically also needed in concert to break the ice in getting through to our sleepy brethren; be it art, poetry, music, or whatever other medium likely to attract and register with those in need of prodding. But most of us already know that, I’m just saying…
We might also do well to appreciate and support the efforts of “The Last American Vagabonds” producers whose research and hard work – among others – brings us such information, as well as our beloved AWAKE MEDIA for providing the inspired medium.
