Ryan, I’ve been thinking after watching that doc of these guys coming up from Quito, how the UN and NGOs are flying people into Quito to begin this trek to the US border. The trip is very inhumane itself.
Whats bothering me is the logic here. The border is open. The Feds made the decision to just let people through. No dialogue with the UN and NGOs? OF course there is.
So, why the inhumane trip? If the border is open, why not just fly people into Houston etc rather than Quito?
In other words, is one border open and the other closed? If you do this crazy hike through South and Central America, you can come through, but we won’t let you just fly in?
If the bordernis open, why force everyone to come through this way? Its just doesn’t make sense in THEIR narrative.
Curious what coordination there is between the USG and the organizations organizing this migration also.
