WikiLeaks Emails And Their Contradicting Origin Stories: Ex-British Ambassador Claims He Received The Emails In a D.C. Park

By now, most have probably heard of the infamous batch of emails that were released by WikiLeaks during the election, which influenced the narrative and, whether or not by design, certainly affected the result. The two leaks that have been at the center of attention are the Democratic National Convention (DNC) emails and the emails of Hillary’s Campaign Head, John Podesta.

Suffice it to say, there was a lot of corruption that was exposed due to the emails; far too much to get into in one article. However, some of the major findings that made shockwaves in the public consciousness were:

This doesn’t even take into account the ongoing PizzaGate Investigation, which has far more serious allegations and implications that are surely affecting the currently brewing situation.

Obviously the emails have shaken the political climate in not only the United States, but around the world, especially after Donald Trump got elected president. Unless the end game was always a Donald Trump presidency and this was all a psychological operation, it does seem that the establishment is dead set against letting Trump become president. It’s unknown what their backup plan is, but there has been an incredible push since the election towards not allowing him into office.

Since the emails were crucial in getting him elected, especially with the help of alternative media, the source of the emails has now been the center of attention in mainstream media. Dominating the headlines lately is a secret CIA report, which states that Russian hackers directly connected to the Russian government are the source of the leaked emails. Some even goes as far as to claim that Vladimir Putin himself was involved with the leak, with his motivation being to influence the election and get Trump elected.

According to the Daily Mail,

“U.S. intelligence officials have reportedly told members of Congress during classified briefings that they believe Russians passed the documents on to WikiLeaks as part of an influence operation to swing the election in favor of Donald Trump.”

With zero evidence, this narrative is pushed as fact. A lot of smoke has been added to this “Russian interference” narrative being pushed by most of the mainstream outlets, such as the idea of Russia being a war mongering boogyman, Trump being a Russian puppet, and his Secretary of State pick, Rex Tillerson, being intimately tied to Russia through oil business deals.

It seems clear that all this speculation is culminating in a narrative that is being used as political cover to nullify Trump from getting elected. The whole idea is to get the people to buy into the idea of Russians interfering in the election, and therefore the Electoral college, so they then decide that Congress needs to intervene. It’s unknown what would happened if they intervened, but some are speculating that they could elect Hillary instead or pick another candidate all together, and all would be within the law and the Constitution. It’s also possible that this is all just theatre or that they are just making it hard on Trump through political games. The scary part for citizens is that they have no idea what is actually going on, since the source of the emails is still unknown and the CIA’s report on Russian interference is secret, and its integrity is vehemently contested, even by members of their own agency.

There is however, another side to the story that is not being reported on, at least in most of the mainstream press. As stated personally by Julian Assange in an interview, the released emails have no affiliation with Russia or hacking, but instead were leaks and came from inside the US government. This completely contradicts the mainstream narrative, on both the leaks vs. hacks narrative and the US Government vs. Russian government culprit.

This is similarly echoed by Craig Murray, Former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, and known associate of Julian Assange, in a released statement on December 11, and in an interviewed by the Daily Mail on December 14th. The relationship between Julian Assange and Craig Murray is a little mysterious and should be investigated further, but it is known that Murray was connected to Assange/WikiLeaks, often spoke out in the media in favor of Julian’s efforts through WikiLeaks, and did visit Assange while he was stuck in the Ecuadorian embassy.

In his recent blog post on December 11, Murray furthers the claim of the leaks coming from inside the government and blasts the CIA’s report, stating:

“A little simple logic demolishes the CIA’s claims. The CIA claim they “know the individuals” involved. Yet under Obama the USA has been absolutely ruthless in its persecution of whistleblowers, and its pursuit of foreign hackers through extradition. We are supposed to believe that in the most vital instance imaginable, an attempt by a foreign power to destabilize a US election, even though the CIA knows who the individuals are, nobody is going to be arrested or extradited, or (if in Russia) made subject to yet more banking and other restrictions against Russian individuals? Plainly it stinks. The anonymous source claims of “We know who it was, it was the Russians” are beneath contempt.”

It should be noted that Murray is a controversial figure who was removed from his post as a British ambassador amid allegations of misconduct. However, he was cleared of those charges, but then left the diplomatic service nonetheless. That being said, his account of how these emails found there way into the hands Julian Assange is a stark contradiction to the mainstream talking points. He in fact claims to have received the emails himself.

According to the Daily Mail

“Murray said he retrieved the package from a source during a clandestine meeting in a wooded area near American University, in northwest D.C. He said the individual he met with was not the original person who obtained the information, but an intermediary.”

But Murray insisted that the DNC and Podesta emails published by Wikileaks did not come from the Russians, and were given to the whistleblowing group by Americans who had authorized access to the information.

“‘Neither of [the leaks] came from the Russians,’  Murray said. ‘The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.'”

“‘I don’t understand why the CIA would say the information came from Russian hackers when they must know that isn’t true,’ he said. ‘Regardless of whether the Russians hacked into the DNC, the documents Wikileaks published did not come from that.'”

Murray also claimed that the motivation for the leaks stemmed from the “disgust at the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and the tilting of the primary election playing field against Bernie Sanders.”

Since his story cannot be completely verified, it should be taken with a grain of salt but noted nonetheless, especially with Julian Assange echoing the same sentiment and the past authenticity of WikiLeaks as an organization. It should also be pointed out that there are still some major questions regarding WikiLeaks and Assange, such as “Why has there been no proof for life of Julian Assange?” and “Is WikiLeaks currently compromised?” as well as “What happened to Seth Rich?”

While this story is only heating up, as more moves are made and further evidence is brought forward, it’s important that people question both sides of the argument and look for facts, not confirmation. It should be understood by now that the mainstream media has been caught consistently lying for the establishment, so taking their word at face value is naïve at best. It should also be understood that the CIA has proven over and again that it cannot be trusted, so no one should believe them without seeing the actual evidence. Finally, it should be understood that the current accusations against the Clinton camp are very serious, so there is clear motive for them to fight to the death for access to the presidency.

Only time will tell what will come of this, but people really need to stay vigilant and pay attention. These emails are very much interconnected to larger issues such as censorship of the Internet and relations with Russia. Losing our first amendment right of free speech and starting a war with a powerful country like Russia are nightmare scenarios, so it’s imperative people be more aware than ever about the information they’re taking in. This is an information war and we need all hands on deck to defend the truth.

“‘The Clinton camp has been able to project a neo-McCarthyist hysteria that Russia is responsible for everything,’ Assange told John Pilger during an interview in November. ‘Hillary Clinton has stated multiple times, falsely, that 17 US intelligence agencies had assessed that Russia was the source of our publications. That’s false – we can say that the Russian government is not the source.'”
