Welcome to another episode of TLAV Political Roundtable. This week we cover the ongoing fake news misinformation campaign being propagated by mainstream media, and how that relates specifically to the situation in Aleppo and flaring Russian tensions due to US actions. It should come as no surprise that what the American people have been told by corporate media, in regards to Aleppo and many other important topics, is all but completely fabricated. This is in order to elicit the type of moral outrage that any human being should feel when being told an entire city is under vicious attack by its own leader; which in this instance, is entirely false. From the original accusation of chemical weapon attacks, that were later proven to be carried out by the US backed “rebels” themselves, to framing the battle for Aleppo as a “civil war,” what Americans are being told about Aleppo is psychological manipulation plain and simple.
Journalists such as Eva Bartlett, who were actually on the ground in Aleppo, have since come back to completely tear down the propagandized version of the “truth” that the US government is attempting to sell to its people. This is just one aspect of what seems to be an intentional ploy to kick off a war with Russia before Obama leaves office.
We also discuss how Trump still has some hurdles to jump before he can safely call himself the President of The United States. I have never been a fan of Donald Trump as our president, as many are aware. I can think of more people than I can count that would likely be a better candidate. That being said, simply demonizing the man for being present, without allowing time to pass in order to see the actual choices that are made, is just close-minded and childish; and that is clearly not what is needed, as there is certainly no shortage of those qualities in today’s United States. We dive into this and more in this week’s discussion and political roundtable.
