As we begin this new era of the American Experiment, let us not forget the tremendous failure that was the Obama presidency; as he failed to bring about the lofty ideals of “hope and change” so elegantly preached from on-high, by which many were inspired. Instead, he won the Nobel Peace Prize while persecuting more whistleblowers than all presidents before him combined, and allowing this country to be responsible for the most horribly unconstitutional, and simply immoral, indiscriminately killing drone program, that is the definition of un-American–to mention some of his more widely known crimes against the American way of life.
One can only hope that Trump truly follows through with his intention to revitalize this country; the way that the people desire, and not his business interests. Yet sadly, this nation’s history shows us that real “hope and change” rarely comes from the White House. But nonetheless, the most important thing that must be taken away from this “election,” is awareness. Do not fall back to complacency and allow those behind the scenes to once again take the reins, directing the American people toward yet another 4 years of war, persecution and profiteering. Regardless of one’s perception of Donald Trump, anyone with their eyes open should be aware of the overarching elitist network of control that has made itself all too known during the recent election reality show.
Within the last 18 months, this election(which was so painful to watch, let alone believe in) has opened the eyes of many Americans to the true power leading the nation: money. This is likely no real surprise to most, yet knowing that the only thing that ever creates real change in this country is money, and those who have a lot of it, it becomes hard to see Trump’s rise to power as anything other than a plan seen to fruition; as we know the level of power which these hopeful oligarchs have attained, and the extent to which their influence can dictate the direction of this country’s policy.
One would like to believe the 2016 election was in fact democracy in action; that the will of the people overshadowed the elite agenda, all due to the rapid awakening that overwhelmed their grand plans. As much as that would bring such a profound sense of hopefulness and positivity for the future–that which has been greatly lacking in recent years–something just does not add up; especially when taking into consideration all that has been uncovered, and what is now quickly becoming common knowledge about the extent of the ruling elites’ power and control over the American political system as a whole. It will all rest on the next few decisions made by Mr. Trump, and if he holds true to his plan of “Whitewashing Washington,” or if he will simply fall in line as history has shown is far too likely.
At the end of the day, it’s important that Americans look to the future and avoid falling victim to base desires of violence, regardless of the true nature of the new President. This may not have been the change many had in mind, but it does signify change on the horizon, both in the media, and the minds of Americans. Violence will only further the wrong agenda and do nothing to further the betterment of the American people. We must maintain this level of involvement and interaction, and carry that involvement into all aspect of the government if real change is indeed what the people want, and not just the illusion of change while maintain all the “luxuries” that have become the comforting suffocation of the apathetic mind.
Carrying this newfound awareness into the next four years is imperative, as the responsibility to ensure this country finds a path of morality, honor and compassion, does not rest in the hands of the new administration, but within the hands of the people. In past years, Americans rise up and cast their votes, and then fall back into the monotony of daily life after they are told “their patriotic duty has been fulfilled.” And the elites would love nothing more than for everyone to let this elevation of involvement and perceptiveness to fall to the wayside. Our ability to be oblivious during the next four years–caught up in whatever new pop-culture distraction that is being cast as news– is precisely what is being hoped for; what is being banked on; what is counted on. Will you be a willing cog in their machine, or will you choose to begin thinking for yourself?
