Can’t wait for this one. This is my old stomping ground, the very issue that shattered my illusion of America, the Cold War Era support of fascism by the US. I can still see my poor innocent naive self break when I realized these awful truths. I was so stupid, I thought we were the worlds heros, and all those Native Americans killed themselves. The truth is cold and lonely but I prefer it over this Satanic illusion we are raised with, that we are great, with the fresh blood of slaughter dripping from our lies.

I know it’s Wikipedia, and You will find much more than that when you start looking. OUN-UPA, just like Azov and Aidar now, where zoologically racist (anti-Polish, anti-Jewish, anti-Russian and promoted the idea of ethnically pure state committing unspeakable slaughter – just like this: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=rzez+wolynska&t=h_&iax=images&ia=images ). My maternal grandfather escaped there as a little kid with his family, and he never spoke much of it.
Soviets were just as horrendous as the Nazis, but no one was as proud of their crimes as the OUN and Ukrainian SS units slaughtering civilians and using the tactics similar to the ones praised by the ISIL-loving advisor of the puppet Zelensky.
No wonder that CIA chose these people as their agents, as they were insanely fanatical (the likes of Bandera, Shukhevych, Lebed in particular) and anti-Soviet* to the core.
*Just to be clear: from the Polish perspective, genocide of the Polish nation and brutality of the Soviet occupation was no different to the German one, and Stalin’s policies in Ukraine before the war, with Hlodomor as a most prominent example, have helped create and foster these sentiments.
This is all excellent reporting. My only hesitation is the assumption that the USSR was ‘just as bad”. Please recall that neither the Russian Empire, nor the Soviet Union, nor the Russian Federation committed genocide against its 100+ ethnic minorities, unlike the Anglos and the Americans who systematically wiped out their indigenous populations. Further, much of the anti Soviet narrative itself has been shown to be false. See the writings and research of Dr. Grover Furr. And finally, the ‘no government’ or ‘small government’ is itself corporate propaganda. When there is a too weak central government, the gangsters and warlords get control and terrorize everyone. How do you think that the military industrial complex and organizations like AIPAC get away with their stuff? It’s because the US government exercises ‘selective control’. Which is why you have to publish on the more independent Rumble platform. No regulations for “Them” and lots of restrictions for thee. Since November 22, 1963, it should be obvious who the actual ‘government’ of the US is.
Re the Holodomor, the fledgling USSR was heavily sanctioned, cutting off food imports, the West invaded disrupting agricultural production in the post 1918 Civil War, and bad weather resulted in food shortages throughout the USSR, not just Ukraine. And yes, inefficient distribution was a factor, but it’s spun narrative to say that the famine in Ukraine was deliberate. (The British potato famine in Ireland, and the Bengal during WWII were very much deliberate. But it was the ‘evil USSR’ that starved Ukraine, while British genocides and US genocides get a pass.) If there is any further doubt, just look at the way Russia is fighting the war. Unlike the US, which mass bombed German cities during WWII, and more recently slaughtered Vietnamese, Iraqis, and so on, Russia has not targeted civilian populations in Ukraine, and attempted several times with Nato and Ukraine to both avoid and cut short hostilities. Ukrainians hate the Communists–who built their infrastructure post WWII. They have done NOTHING to build Ukraine. Under the USSR, the population rose from 42 million to 51 million by 1953. It’s now probably less than 25 million. So who was helping Ukraine?Certainly not the ultranationalists who’ve been running Ukraine since 1991.
