Militarized America And The Engineered Consent For War

Welcome to The Daily Wrap Up, a concise show dedicated to bringing you the most relevant independent news, as we see it, from the last 24 hours (3/26/18).

I want to begin by calling out something that is very apparent to me, yet many do not see it for what it is, and this is the absolute strangle hold the Military Industrial Complex has on the US Government and it policies. As the national debt continues to grow exponentially — despite frequent promises to the contrary — and new spending bills only add to that wildly growing number, the only way for the US to stay afloat has been to grasp onto the world arms trade as if it were a life raft. Now, it can’t turn back.

Without the sales of weapons around the world, a market the US currently leads, the US would simply financially collapse. It seems a bit counter-productive, or rather counter-intuitive, for the nation claiming to promote peace to be selling arms to allies and enemies alike. So it becomes quite clear that the US military is in control much more so than any other entity within the US. Which is why it has taken the driver seat in US policy over the last few years (more so than ever before) and the social engineering we have seen — to stoke the irrational patriotism and almost outright hatred for those outside our borders — is used to create not only the support to hide the war-mongering taking place, but also the justification for the use of the weapons that need to be sold in order to maintain the current barely stable status quo.

This is why we see the ever-increasing military budget, despite already spending more on military then the next 8 countries combined, and why we see military grade weapons, vehicles and gear on average police, because we are buying what we do not need to keep afloat. All the excess must go somewhere, and what better way to use it then to get paid for it twice while conditioning the masses to a military state at home, and use tax payer money to do it. Most importantly, the people are so worked up about the threat-de-jour, be it Russians, terrorists or some other manufactured threat to a democracy that does not exist, that they cannot see the real reasons for all of this, or the obvious example marching down the street in a militarized fashion.

More over, what the people actually want does not even play a part in this process, as the recent bill that would have the US pull out its support for the ongoing genocide being committed in Yemen by Saudi Arabia, saw over 70% of Americans that supported this withdrawal. Yet, when put to Congress, they largely voted to continue supporting Saudi Arabia, despite the atrocities being committed against civilians, despite the hypocrisy of invading other countries on the grounds of a humanitarian crisis, just like the one the US is supporting, and despite what the American people want. This is because Congress is well aware of the real reason for the support – war. As well as the money that lines their pockets happily supplied by the very powerful war lobby. This is one of the largest reasons that the US needs to create conflict amongst the people to keep them at each others throats, instead of realizing what is actually going on.

So Americans continue to argue over a right that should not even be on the table for discussion in the first place, while what is truly needed is simply the actual enforcement of the laws already in place, and actually holding public officials accountable for their failures to do so. Yet, we are witnessing a massive socially engineered event that both distracts from the many very important events addressed in the show below, as well as manufactures consent for the ongoing dissolution of the Constitution itself.

As Walter Lippmann wrote in 1921, and it is more true today then ever before:

The creation of consent is not a new art. It is a very old one which was supposed to have died out with the appearance of democracy. But it has not died out. It has, in fact, improved enormously in technic, because it is now based on analysis rather than on rule of thumb. And so, as a result of psychological research, coupled with the modern means of communication, the practice of democracy has turned a corner. A revolution is taking place, infinitely more significant than any shifting of economic power.

Flash forward a century, and we see the result of such manufactured consent. And sadly, many are still completely unaware of just how controlled and orchestrated their views and opinions truly are. But with every show, every person speaking out, one more person shakes free of the State’s controlling grasp, and adds their voice to the growing call for change.

Please take the information discussed in the video below and research for yourself, and come to your own conclusions. As anyone telling you what the truth is, or claiming they have the answer, is likely leading you astray, for one reason or another. Stay Vigilant.
