FISA Memo Withheld, NSA “Accidentally” Deletes Bush Data & US War Machine Pushes On Despite Shutdown

Welcome to The Daily Wrap Up, a concise show dedicated to bringing you the most relevant independent news, as we see it, from the last 24 hours.

Despite the continuing “government shut down” fear-mongering by all mainstream outlets, to the surprise of no one in the independent media, all hell has yet to break loose. As talk of the FISA Memo that we have yet to see continues to be pushed, despite Trump’s ability to declassify it whenever he chooses, what’s actually important continues to be ignored — which is more than likely the point.

Today we discuss how the NSA “accidentally” erased Bush-era data that it was under court order to preserve following disclosures that President George W. Bush ordered warrantless wiretapping of international communications after 9/11. But don’t worry, because the agency told a federal judge that it is investigating and “sincerely regrets its failure.” As long as they feel bad about it. The agency is facing zero repercussions for its blatant and flagrant disregard for the laws that, without fail, apply to us serfs. We can’t help but see a pattern here when considering the way the FBI conspired to ensure Clinton would not be held accountable for her cavalier demeanor with classified material, and her overt disregard for the court order that demanded her files after this was revealed — even while military personnel were being held accountable for what amounted to a much less severe and actual mistake.

We also discuss the very telling revelation that the US war machine marches on unabated during the government shutdown. Showing us once again what really keeps this militarized nation turning. The Military-Industral Complex, and its corporate overlords, cannot spare even one day in its tireless imperialistic efforts around the world. And it is of course for the “protection” of the American people that we must continue the covert undermining of foreign elections; or the continued support for the genocide in Yemen; or the entirely illegal occupation in Syria that right this very moment is causing a war to break out with Turkey — all for your protection. And as Mattis said in his memo to armed forces around the globe yesterday:

“You have my personal commitment that the department’s leadership will do our best to mitigate the impacts of the disruptions and any financial burdens to you and your families. Steady as she goes – hold the line. I know the nation can count on you.”

 “Stay alert.”

Please take the information discussed in the video below and research for yourself, and come to your own conclusions. As anyone telling you what the truth is, or claiming they have the answer, is likely leading you astray, for one reason or another. Stay Vigilant.
