  1. After air and water, FOOD is essential for Human Existence.*

What does food require to produce?
    A. Arable Land (to grow feed & food and as farm/habitat)
    B. Water (to irrigate and as farm/habitat)

Who has (owns/controls) land & water?

    Start there.

Nothing else matters re Food unless you have control of some land & water to Do Food Well, Right & Good.

It seems to me the Co-op** model(s) are the way to go…

    * After air, water & food (essentials) comes clothing/shelter then tools then energy then machines, which are not essential, per se, but are required for organized Society, and corrolate with the degree/level/size of ‘civilization’.

  2. I am in South Africa which embraces GM corn (maize/mielies, as we call it). There is an organization called the African Centre for Biodiversity, unfunded, grassroots. There are people who try to stand independent of bigag but the funding from corrupting corporates undemines some. This is the statement from Africans on the ground to the AU, which is fulfilling the UN agenda. https://comms.evlink9.net/servlet/link/39068/650459/77979822/2589610
    I really appreciate your work.

  3. Very Very Scary. We’re running out of time — fast.

What percentage of people nowadays can tell the difference between “Real” food and ultra-hybridized tasteless (nutritionless), even gmo’d, fake food. . . . .”Sure, I shop in the big box store, but I only buy green leafy veg that’s labeled organic”. . . . Surprise! USDA Organic is just a label now, has been for long time. It’s sold to agri-businesses, even cafos, for price only — NO regulations. Only the small, family farms that seek to use the USDA Organic label are held to the regulations – for years – before they are deemed to have met the requirements.

Thanks @Ruth. I knew nothing of that. Hopeful.
Reverse thanks @D. Now I’m Really sick.
100% @Birdbrain, we need even a bit of land for growing & composting; plus enough pure water to hydrate it.

Saw a video on Youtube(before it went bad), called “Pumped Dry” — it’s already happened in Southwestern US including CA. In the US, perps include those relying excessively on oil burning machinery to pump up production, even if they’re moderately sized places; and growers w/crops inappropriate for the ecosystem (e.g. acres of wine grapes in areas that cannot support the irrigation).

Again: How does one find people to talk with face to face; and also to establish potential contacts to {insert need} for compensation? I live in an area where communication’s difficult.

  4. I love you guys, my life lately would have devolved into cult slavery or fight club without the down-to-earth journalistic mentality you constantly remind me of that keeps shady manipulative characters with no proof of their claims, intentions or where they get their money at bay.

I couldn’t do vegan due to health but trying to do vegetarian or pescetarian again (failed once), especially since it will be slim pickings of healthy options where I live. Unfortunately it looks like militant vegans and all kinds of self-deprecating extremists are working with the enemy, but that means in fact the vegan-curious crowd needs an alternative form of veganism more than ever.
