Congress Proposes Bill to Recognize “Magic” as a “National Treasure”

A very peculiar bill was recently submitted by the House of Representatives to Congress, dated March 14th 2016, entitled “H. RES. 642: Recognizing magic as a rare and valuable art form and national treasure.”

While it may seem hard to take seriously, this is a real proposal, and the link can be seen here, from congress.gov: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-resolution/642/text

A selected few of the reasons given in the proposal read as such:

“…Whereas magic is an art form with the unique power and potential to impact the lives of all people…

Whereas magic enables people to experience the impossible…

Whereas magic, like the great art forms of dance, literature, theater, film, and the visual arts, allows people to experience something that transcends the written word…

Whereas futurist Arthur C. Clarke claimed that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic…

Whereas one of the greatest artists of all time, Leonardo da Vinci, was inspired by magic and co-wrote one of the very first books on magic in the late 15th century…

Whereas modern cinema would not exist today without the innovative work of the accomplished magician Georges Méliès…

Whereas magic is a unifying force across cultural, religious, ethnic, and age differences in our diverse Nation…”

But it doesn’t end there–not by any means. From this very technological/magical occult mindset that the proposal begins with, it then goes on for at least thirty percent of the proposal, discussing how much of a nation treasure and “living legend” that David Copperfield is. Granted, David Copperfield can do some pretty amazing things, but this Proposal goes on for quite a while discussing the “magician,” and one cannot help but wonder what the point of any of this is. Some of the reasons considering David Copperfield are:

“…Whereas the American magicians Harry Houdini and David Copperfield have been the most successful magicians of the past two centuries…

…Whereas David Copperfield, with 21 Emmy Awards, 11 Guinness World Records, and over four billion dollars in ticket sales, has impacted every aspect of the global entertainment industry…

Whereas Rebecca Brown of Portland, Oregon, left a David Copperfield magic show with a newfound inspiration to pursue her lifelong, unfulfilled passion for dance…

Whereas three months after Rebecca Brown attended the David Copperfield magic show, she performed her first choreographed recital in Portland, Oregon’s Pioneer Square…”

So, again, what is the point? David Copperfield might be a “Limited Hangout” of the information at hand; it is something to give people who are unfamiliar with ritualistic magic to categorically, mentally latch onto here. But Copperfield’s list goes on from here, and it grows in its feeling of arbitrariness.

To those who are unfamiliar with the overall terminology and references being made by these Representatives, this may seem so silly and outlandish that it could come across like these Representatives proposing these ideas may have been smoking something strong… However, while this doesn’t make the proposal any less strange, it does make a great deal of sense with what is known about elitist political society in America. Within the context of Washington D.C. being a virtual monument to Freemasonic symbolism that dates all the way back to esoteric Hermeticism of Egypt and Greece, and the incorporation of all this esoteric symbolism and ritualism (magic) into postmodern Pop Culture Media, the ideas in this Proposal make much more sense.

A thread still unknown by many, the Eleusinian Mysteries of Ancient Greece are historically recognized to bring theater, music, and the media arts of the time to the common people, as representations of the Mystery “School”‘s ancient symbolism–this being anything from sacred geometry, numerology, to archetypal deity symbolism, and so forth. With the overwhelming and undeniable amount of esoteric symbolism that can be found in everything from Disney and Nickelodeon cartoons, to Hollywood cinema, the Academy Awards “Ceremonies” and the Super Bowl Half-Time Shows, this body of evidence has continued to grow, and its symbolism and ritualism can again be traced back to the Mystery Schools and Freemasonry quite seamlessly.

Considering the Proposal, literally everything just described is discussed by the Representatives in their write-up. albeit in much more generalized terms. It appears that under this context of “magic” helping to guide the collective consciousness through esoteric Pop Culture Media manipulation, David Copperfield is added into the Proposal–despite the fact that it is not presented with this connection overtly.

Whether or not the general public consider magic by its anthropological/scholastic/even-scientific definition, it is clear that the American politicians are aware of this deeper, more authentic definition. The body of evidence goes much deeper than even esoteric symbolism in media, with known and documented rituals of black magic and pedophilia within the Political Elite, such as Bohemian Grove. Although the basis of why this Proposal was recently given to Congress is still a bit ambiguous and even confusing, the context certainly makes sense.
