If ever there was a clearer picture as to the level of disregard that the US government has for its people, it is that of the seemingly obvious lie being told about the government’s claim that US troops would not be on the ground in Syria, and their continued follow up lie that the statement was never spoken.
The entire discussion in regards to whether American soldiers are actually fighting in Syria, has become one big joke to the current administration and the State Department. Not only has the State Department been adamant that the phrase “No Boots On The Ground” was never stated, despite that a myriad of Obama montages have since sprouted up on social media clearly demonstrating that the claim was made over 12 times, but it is now being mocked as some misunderstanding of word-play; as if the media somehow took that very simple phrase too literally?
Yet it is quite clear that the statement can be taken in no other way than the obvious; which is that troops will not be present. However, the State Department has delved into a game of semantics, smugly laughing at the “misunderstanding” as if implying that the people, and the media alike, are just too ignorant and naïve to fully understand their geopolitical terminology.

This is a clear example of just how far the nation has drifted from the transparent democracy that it never truly became. The sheer audacity it takes to stand there and boldly lie about something they know is on record, is just astounding. The sad fact, is that many will still continue to take them at their word and just assume it was one big misunderstanding and that they must have our best interest in mind. The nation has reached a point in which that has never been farther from the truth.
